What a funding link shows#

That one address sent another its first native funds, at a specific block. That is all.

What it does not show#

• Who controls either wallet
• Whether the wallets act together
• Anything about wallets funded through exchanges, bridges or mixers, where the trail is intentionally cut

Two wallets "linked by funding" may belong to one person, to friends, or to strangers who used the same faucet.

Scale with public APIs#

Public explorers and RPCs are rate limited. A real trace of tens of thousands of wallets means tens of thousands of lookups; at a few requests per second that takes a long time without dedicated infrastructure. This is why the real crawler relies on permanent caching and strict stop conditions, and why large traces are planned to cost crawl credits. See $ZKOS utility.
