Connecting a wallet
What connecting shares, and why only the Swap program can ask for approvals and transactions.
Connecting is optional. Every analysis tool also accepts a pasted address.
What happens when you connect#
- Click Wallet in the menu bar.
- Choose Connect browser wallet. Your browser wallet asks to share your account.
- ZK OS receives your public address and the chain you are on.
Read-only everywhere except Swap#
All programs only read. Swap (Beta) is the exception: when you trade it can ask your wallet to switch chains, approve a token for the exact amount and send one transaction. Each request appears in your wallet and needs your confirmation. The full list is on What the app asks your wallet.
ZK OS never asks for message signatures, permits or setApprovalForAll.
Disconnecting#
Open Wallet again and click Disconnect. You can also revoke the site in your wallet's connected sites list. Token approvals made in Swap can be revoked in its Approvals tab.
