Life of a batch
Proof of conceptCommit, reveal and settle phases, timing, the bond and order limits.
Proof of concept Runs on synthetic data.
Commit (50%)Reveal (30%)Settle (20%)
Phases#
- Commit, the first half of the batch. You submit only a hash of your order and post a bond.
- Reveal, the next 30%. You publish the order and its salt. Pool checks it against your hash.
- Settle, the last 20%. Revealed orders at or through the midpoint cross, pro rata on the smaller side. The price guard runs first.
Timing#
Batches repeat back to back. The Batch section shows the length of each batch, the current phase and the time left. Step jumps to the next phase for demonstrations.
Bond#
Each commit posts a bond of 1 USDG (simulated). It is returned when you reveal. A commit that is never revealed forfeits its bond, which stops people from spamming hashes they never intend to honour.
Order limits#
- Up to 8 commits per batch per user.
- A buy needs USDG for size times limit, plus the bond. A sell needs the shares, plus the bond.
- Orders with a limit that does not reach the midpoint do not fill and are returned.
